This Biodiesel Facility in Welland, Ontario was looking for an affordable, durable, and permeable paving solution for a heavy-duty, high-traffic parking area in their facility. Unpaved or poorly paved industrial areas such as these are often prone to parking lot drainage problems, as well as deep rutting and dust that require expensive dust-control products to keep conditions clean.

Preparation
A paver base was prepared to ensure a smooth and stable starting point for the Ecoraster E50 gravel grid installation.
Installation
Although the surface area for this project was significant, once the paver base was prepared, the porous pavement system was quickly and easily installed.
AFTER
The Ecoraster E50 paver grid now offers this high-traffic facility an incredibly stable and durable permeable hardscape with excellent industrial parking lot drainage. It now has a solid base that has significantly reduced dust and stands up against rutting. Ecoraster’s patented interlocking plastic pavers also connect together, allowing the area to be snow plowed in the winter and ensuring no movement between the individual paver grids, even when subjected to turning and torquing of the tires.
